Ah man, this discussion does no justice at all to the brilliance of this artist. Django Reinhardt (Jayn-go RINE-hart, for those who really don't know how to pronounce it) is indisputably one of the earliest and most prolific of his kind as a recording jazz guitar player. In his short life of 43 he composed and recorded over hundreds of tracks, many of which are considered jazz standards today. Minor Swing, Tears, Douce Ambiance, Djangology!! Wiki this motha, then get a torrent and get to listening.

The 'D' is silent & the name rhymes with 'mango'. I admire his guitar playing a lot but not the (many) songs with violinist, Stephane Grappelly. Stephane was very good too, but his playing distracts if you want to hear Django.
