Go out immediately and purchase both! Sure, second album different, and kicks serious ass! What is all the talk about lyrics. They were more important when we purchased 12" LP's with full liner notes. I have no clue what is being said unless I open the cd case. Rap-metal is some of the worst shit music Ive heard, David even says that they dont incorporate rap into their music, but that they have a distinct beat in The Sickness. You wont find that in Believe, and in my mind Believe is a much better album that the first. I think that the barks and everything were fun to hear and rock to, but David Draiman's melodic voice and message in the second album really pulls through, and overall the whole band has matured as musicians and people in their music. My favorite song on the first is Numb or DWTS, but Remember from the second is my all-time favorite. The band now seems geared toward trying to hit a musical pinnacle, and now they are trying to show that metal doesnt have to have dark, death-related undertones and low, roaring mad growls (which are still fun every now and then), but that metal can also be a pure form of expressive music, and you can still sing your heart out without having to have a deep, suicidal voice. Dan and Fuzz's guitar and bass in the second album are incredible, and they also sound very pure in their chords and riffs. I seriously do have this weird feeling and I think that something good is coming for this band very soon, and they will make music history like Metallica, Aerosmith, whoever. The band has said that they "want to be the metal U2". Right now Korn, P.O.D., even Good Charlotte seem to get more attention, but I know that soon Disturbed will be the reply you get when you mention one of the greatest aspiring bands in history. >>By phirephace They are s fucking hot!!!!! David Draiman is my idol. He is so hot, and best of all, MY bf looks just like him. The way disturbed jams is so hard core, and and it brings out a little of the devil in all of us.
