  (Thursday, 7 Nov 2002 01:45)

Digables is helpin me thru this time in my life. I's a college student in lame-O Chicago. Just moved back from AtL where i've stayed for the past 5 years but was forced back bcuz of financial problems. I'm an artist in attendance at The Illinois Institute of art and I feel real uninspired. It's so much colder than Atl and so much less colorful. I love to produce music and be amidst the highly creative people. I wish I was seeing a Digable show this weekend or something. I miss my ATL apache cafe!!!!!!!!! But if you hear me Digable's, thank you for the color you're driving into a bleek sichashon.

What ever happened to Diglable Planets?

>>By Dee   (Monday, 17 Mar 2003 17:09)

Whatever happened to Diglable Planet? I really like the way that they groove to their music. They are very different from other artists because they came out to the music scene with their own style. And that was fresh.

Peace.

I have a theory, since the digibal planets were a.k.a, insects. Wouldn't that mean that, like insects, they colonize and then get the buzz out? HMMMMMM. Something the hip-hop hype needs to consider. Keepn' it real.............

Digable Planets is one of the most slept on HipHop groups ever. I still rock both cd's on almost a daily basis. Everyone have faith!!!! Tribe's getting back together. So are Pete Rock and CL. It won't be too long before the Planets get back on it. They are all doin their thing and eventually they'll do it together (Doodle was just in Atlanta on 6/18). Keep your heads up :-)

rockin' dig plans right now ("we're just baby's, man...")- and have been since '93. Ten years and this album is timeless - nothing comes close. Phat beats, fly rhymes, a hip vibe.

Can someone/anyone point me to recent info on the web or anywhere else re: Miss Mecca, Doodlebug, and Butterfly

"...cuz ButtahFly is a baby (I'm just a baby man), and Mr. Doodle (I'm just a baby, too) and Miss Mecca (I'm just a baby, man) and Mr. Silk (he's just a baby too) the 801's (they just babies, man) Ms. Venus (she's just a baby, man) the Akfacts (they just babies, man) and DPS (they just babies too), oh, and Dash (he's just a baby, man) Danny and Danny (they are my babies, man) oh and, Liz (she's just a baby, man) oh and, Stella (she's just a baby too) Doc Shane (he's just a baby, man) Mike Mann, (he's just my main man), and Dr. Timba (he's just a baby, man) and Aunt Jackie, (she's just a baby, too) Be-ne-fi-cent (he's just a baby, man) oh and you, (You're just a baby, man)...

I've listened to D-Ps since I was in seventh grade running around being a little punk. But I never got to see them live. I'd give my left nut to see them. Whatever happened I cac't fing any touring information anywhere. You guys if you hear me go to Bonnaroo Music Festival next year you will totally fit in and love it. 90,000 peace loving fans for three days. Jurassic 5, James Brown, The Roots, Medeski Martin & Wood, The Funky Meters, and so many others play there. If you guys get back together or whatever your statis is go there please you won't regret it.

Man I miss real hip hop..What hapened to groups like "DigablePlanets" ......

"Ja Rule" .."Puff Daddy".."Missy Elliott" ...ect..et al..within the Modern hip -hop "Business Machine" Qualify as Lazy, immature,uninspired..uncreative, pollution..

Let's bring back the real artist...Tired of people bling, bling talkin the same yap.

Without a doubt the digable Planet were and still are a breath of fresh air...
