Well, does anyone disagree with the fact that all she does is reproduce and soightly modify other people's work?

diana, look up dianakrall.com. this is probably one of the first websites dedicated to this wonderful lady, and i think it's now considered the "official" website. i came across it about 1999 after it was first created. it has grown much since then.

Hi,
I've also become a fan of Diana. Good to see Jazz get such wide acclaim. I heard her because she recorded 'Popsicle Toes' by Michael Franks. Fans here would do well to check him out. A fine tenor voice, great lyrics and records with top session men such as Larry Carlton, Joe Sample, Michael Brecker, David Sanborn, Steve Gadd, Ron Carter, etc.

Hi guys, There’s a singer named Cassandra Reed who just came out with her debut album. It has a certain jazzy/blues tone to it, and she has a very seductive voice that just seemed to flow really well with the music. I saw her on the jazz vocal charts at mp3.com, and listened to some tracks. It is really worth the listen.
>>By joliejay
when you talk about female jazz singers that play piano, Norah Jones is definitely the hottest name right now but have you thought of the tradition of contemporary female jazz singers? i think Diane Schuur is worth a mention. her style is similar to Diana Krall. (continued on next message)
>>By joliejay
she's been around for almost 20 years and received 2 GRAMMYs for best jazz vocalist. her new album is coming out on Concord Records. the funny thing about this album is, it's produced by Barry Manilow. can you imagine? he even duets with her. it's great though.

I'm a longtime fan of Diana Krall. Those of you who like her work might enjoy Jane Monheit. Very young new singer and very talented.

Hey, check out ultimatedianakrall.com for her official website. There is a really good "unofficial" website/discussion board centered around her where some of her fans talk about whatever, not just Diana...it is at jazzprincess.com If you really want to fall in love with her, check out geocities.com/scdianafan/
