hello out there. i have 2 admit that i have only just discovered Devics. i can't nail them to a specific genre tho, which is a good thing. they're coming to me hometown 2 play the fantastic Rock City and at £5.50, i think i can be pushed to go! i mean...what a musical bargain. whoevers out there...what songs do/albums do u recommend?

There going to ur home town? ur so lucky! The first time i discovered Devics was when i was watching buffy the vampire slayer. They performed at a club called the Bronze, with their song "Key". After that, i fell in love with the music, went to the website, started getting all the songs. I wish i could get my hands on all their albums, but no music store that i've been to has them. This band definitely needs more publicity, they need to be exposed, be out there. Their music is so depressing, dark.... i love it.

I've recently discovered them...and they're the perfect accessory to me..as I'm a total 1920's darkling.."my beautiful sinking ship" is a gorgeous song and it is very much reminiscent of a strange, dark carnival or something

This music is just amazing - I've never ever heard anything like this - but it's so clean and so deep, and so... well, maybe dark, but positively... Listening an hour of devics is like meditating to clean your body and soul... I just pray to have a chance to see their show one day!

I got to see Devics twice in the UK last month - in London and Brighton.

They are quite excellent. Can't quite decide what it is about them.

Fave track - GHOST from their EP. If you haven't heard it FIND IT AND BUY IT.

Without doubt the find of the year, and I was lucky enough to see them live in Nottingham in April and they were fantastic. Great songs, great playing and SarA's great voice. I can't recommend them enough. ( I wish I could have seen them supporting one of my all-time fav bands; House of Love, in Brighton)
