Death Cab For Cutie is the best band of all time. Ben's voice is awesome. All the band members are the best at what they do. I want them to come to my hometown, but I dont know if they will come to Ohio. Who does? Oh well, DCFC is awesome. Peace.

All of the songs are completely original. I haven't heard another band ever put such seperate sounds and lyrics together to make their music sound so good. GREAT MUSIC!

I saw DCFC play at the Black Cat in DC recently. They put on such an awesome show, it was ridiculous. I hope to hear more from the Postal Service as well.

Well, from what I hear the boys seem to be pricking the ears of the main stream market. I'm torn as to how to feel about this. Should I be upset because what was once obscure and personal will now be fodder for corporate radio? Or should I be happy because good music is prevailing? Either way, I will always love the band for intangible reasons.

What i love about Death Cab is that its so constant, but in a good way. You can count on them not to change. Ben Gibbard is great and The Postal Service is also a really clever production. It makes ya happy :O)

Though the lyerics aren't the most positive one can imagine... But yeah, I second that, they are great bands....

Hey Bornunderpunches...thank you!!! I thought I was the only person who felt that way about these awsome bands, like Deathcab, that we follow from the ground up. I guess its like a kind of " indie band empty nest syndrome."

Bed Gibbard is truly amazing. His songs are the story of my life. The lyrics and music come together to make such a beautiful display of poetry.
Even when they are not playing music...they can bring tears to my eyes. I saw them in Portland, and before the show, the guitarist was doing a mike check and sang, "Lets get this party started, there is nothing left to do but kill the broken hearted." Talk about a stab to the heart.

Lets get this party started, there is nothing left to do but kill the broken hearted."

Which is a quote from a 80ties wave/discosong... if I am not mistaken.....

Wow, I can't believe that no one has posted on here since 2004! Come on guys!

So they've got a new album out, Plans, and I think its amazing. "Soul Meets Body" is incredible and it seems like the guys know it because the mass amount of the CD is love infused melodies! But if I could write them like they can, I'd be sticking with it too! I think if they would have switched it up now people would have gotten a little upset, at least their true fans! After seeing them on the OC a lot of people thought they were going to leave behind their Transatlanticism roots, but they picked it up just where that left off, and I'm glad that their sudden fame didn't affect the music.

"you're the only song i want to hear". brings a smile to any chick; more so to an indie chick.

inSAdie, if only you were right. Codes and Keys shows their change, I'm not quite sure how i feel about it yet. I miss the sad, depressing lyrics that Ben serenades me with, but at the same time, HE'S MARRIED TO FUCKING ZOOEY D. How can he not sing 'life is sweet' I am completely torn.
