David Bowie's music is sooooo much better than pop or 'pretend rock' music which is around and is also A LOT more cleverer. He was perfect for the role of the 'Goblin King' in the film Labyrnth. If you have'nt seen it then you must because it the best film in the whole world. It may be a little hard to find because it was made quite a long time ago, but it is still worth it!

I love the man for the music and everything else that hes done. I love his image from the 70's and what it has evolved to now. The first album of his that ive heard was Earthling. I listened to that for at least a month every day, several times a day. Then i listened to black tie white noise. Not his most critically acclaimed albums, i know, but i still love them. I think his old albums are incredible, my favorites being The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, and Space Oddity, and Lodger. I like the other early ones too, but i think his lyrics got quite a bit worse and they just got a lot less emotional to me. Outseide and Heathen rocked my face (in that good face-rocking sorta way), although i cant say the same for most of Reality. Ive seen him live on the Heathen tour and just a month and a half ago on the Reality tour. Those concerts were fantastic. I hope he doesnt stop touring. And i want him to become immortal. And I want $5 million.

One of the most talented artists apart from Cat Stevens i know. I am just drawn by his music and his professional performances. I think i can quite honestly say David Bowie and Cat Stevens are my fav of all times. Even my little girl adores them both ( maybe i cant stop playing them lol) I love everything about Bowie, the way he kept moving with the needs of the time and his unique ability to keep coming out with fantastic songs that i can relate to.I love all his music, he will never fade in my heart, David Bowie, keep going hun Jecca xxx

I like David Bowie! yay!

>>By Jane   (Friday, 27 Feb 2004 05:17)

Bowie is always a few years in advance comparing to the rest of the music scene. That´s his main secret... Keep going.

I am a pianist. I have possibly got the most complete collection of David Bowie
sheetmusic and songbooks in the world. This includes;
Piano, vocal,Guitar (PVG),
Off the record. (OTR)
Guitar tab.
Lyrics and chords.
But I don`t have every song. So if you have some Bowie music on printed page could you let me know what you have.

Bowie is one sexy bloke. I actually prefer his acting to his music (don't shoot me!), for the most part. I do love Space Oddity, Ziggy Stardust, Changes, Rebel Rebel, and of course Under Pressure (being a huge fan of Queen). Labyrinth was great-- I own it on DVD... Possibly the weirdest film I have ever seen (besides 2001 a Space Oddysey) was the Man who Fell to Earth...
Bowie's fab!

Bowie is here for the 21 century, just listen to REALITY.
Take care.

You’ve got your mother in a whirl ’cause she’s
Not sure if you’re a boy or a girl
Hey babe, your hair’s alright
Hey babe, let’s stay out tonight
You like me, and I like it all
We like dancing and we look divine
You love bands when they’re playing hard
You want more and you want it fast
They put you down, they say I’m wrong
You tacky thing, you put them on
Rebel rebel, you’ve torn your dress
Rebel rebel, your face is a mess
Rebel rebel, how could they know?
Hot tramp, I love you so!

This ain't rock n roll. This is genocide !
As they pulled you out of the oxygen tent
You asked for the latest party
With your silicone hump and your ten inch stump
Dressed like a priest you was
Tod Brownings freak you was.............

Young girl, they call them the Diamond Dogs

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
With your long blonde hair and your eyes of blue
The only thing I ever got from you was sorrow
Sorrow

One day I’m gonna write a poem in a letter
One day I’m gonna get that faculty together
Remember like everybody has to wait in line
Blue jean-look out world you know I’ve got mine
She got latin roots
She got everything
Sometimes I feel like
(oh, the whole human race)
Jazzin’ for blue jean
(oh, and when my blue jean’s blue)
Blue jean can tempt me
(oh, somebody send me)
Somebody sent me
(oh, somebody send me)

...i've got latin roots alright

I very recently saw The Labyrinth. He was really good in that film

>>By thom   (Friday, 10 Sep 2004 15:51)

It's amazing to think that one man's career can go on so long, changing so radically and being so consistently good. I consider myself a very big fan, but have probably only heard a fraction of what he has done.

I've also seen Labyrinth. It's a great, funny film.

Who's heard Outside? That was such a bold album; it was brilliant and anyone who calls it pretentious doesn't know what they're talking about. One or two of the songs also terrified me - those monologues... *shiver*

>>By Flagg   (Thursday, 14 Oct 2004 22:59)

David Bowie is REALLY sexy, and his music is pretty cool too.....that's all I want to say....

>>By darcy   (Friday, 15 Oct 2004 08:03)

Alladin Sane is very clever.

Bowie is a great great man, and a great great musician/artist!
what else can i say...?!:))))

>>By Eli_Molko   (Tuesday, 19 Oct 2004 11:03)

I had a dream last night where I knew David Bowie. We were great friends, but I think we fell out for some reason.... It's all hazy, I should've written it down as soon as I woke up. Ah well. Maybe it says something about me. Like that I'm really sad, perhaps.

>>By Flagg   (Saturday, 23 Oct 2004 22:52)

Well, I have never dreamt of Bowie, but I do want to get to know him (read: his music) better. I only have one album.

>>By spikee   (Sunday, 24 Oct 2004 02:54)

You should Best Of. And Outside. And Heathen. And obviously Hunky Dory.

>>By Flagg   (Sunday, 24 Oct 2004 21:49)

And Ziggy Stardust? I've heard that's his best.

>>By spikee   (Monday, 25 Oct 2004 08:48)

Ah I haven't heard it yet. I've heard the song Ziggy Stardust, and possibly one or two other tracks but not the whole album. I'm sure it's very good though.

In fact, it is probably safe to assume that, like most of Bowie's work, it "Rocks More Than Rockall."
