Ok, Cypress Hill - Sen Dogg has allways been about rock and rap, mainly rock, thats why when he left Cypress... he made a rock band. All the others where hip hop, so B-Reel says "I always thought that we were a rap group with a rock background. By sound and by definition." Ok? So they where hip hop but with a rock edge with sen's cutting voive and there funkiness. Also fans started to mosh at there giggs back in early 90's. When Sen Dogg re-joined, he was better appreciated he got involved more, Cypress where also influenced by the fans moshing and asking for heavier stuff, so they mixed in Skull and Bones, Rap tunes where still old school but a bit more clear cut, but thats jus the new f-x and equipment aswell, but they had metal and all that too. It's not like they where hip hop and went rock to change there roots, to sell out, to make more money just for the money, its all about there childhood and there influences growing up. One of Sen's was rock music, so Cypress Hill would naturally allways take a heavier root. So If You Don't like it TUFF! They still make laid back gangsta, they also do heavier, if you dont like the heavy bit, listen to the rap, its simple, Rock and Rap is what Cypress Hill has allways been, back n the days they rocked there shows up a bit when live, they even where named best live act in hip hop, so that tells you summin' dont it? Sen's cuttin voice and rock influence just makes them better, they can perform a wider range songs, they have great musical talent plus B-Reel is an awsome MC, B is Latino, Sen Black, Muggs White, so there is also a real feel of bringing everyone together and we all live the same sort of lives no matter what yo color. Cypress are the DOn, Cypress Till I Die. DJ Muggs is da bomb! >>By high_times sup y'all, just to let you know: Cypress is working on a new album, tentatively called "Pyramid the hashies scrolls", which should be out later this year or earlier next year (january/february 2004). It's gonna be str8 hip-hop, with NO rock on it. They are also retreating back to darker era, like in the Temples of boom times. But Muggs said that he doesn't wanna do an album similar to Temples of boom though. B-Real is also working on the "Kush project", which is gonna be rock/metal/rap, and another project called "Serial Rhyme Killas", which is gonna be rap. Muggs is preparing Soul Assassins III record together with Alchemist, too.
