Hi!Does anybody know people involved in Bedlam lp(1971-72)?
>>By GILLAN
I'm a huge fan of Cozy Powell, and collect rarities that involve him.I also belong to a Yahoo group dedicated to Cozy Powell. Gillan,Denny Ball the excellent bass player from Bedlam belongs to our group, and has given us tons of information on Cozy. He even joins our chats from time to time. He seems like a really nice guy. He'll be releasing a new CD sometime soon which features Cozy on one track. Bedlam do gigs in the UK from time to time with their new drummer Russel Gilbrook. I myself am a drummer, and I'm very influenced by Cozy. He's definitely my favorite. I also am influenced by drummer like Ian Paice,Tommy Aldridge,Carl Palmer,Phil Collins,Carmine Appice,Bill Ward among others. I especially love the work Cozy did with the Michael Schenker Group. I also think his playing on the Bedlam album was one of the first examples great double bass drumming in hard rock. I wrote to Cozy just before Black Sabbath's TYR cd came out,and he sent me an autographed Sabbath photo, and lists of his equipment, and recordings. It meant, and still means a lot to me.
