| Discussion: Corrosion Of Conformity I have been chattin in these socalled music chat rooms but no one has heard of yall so i am trying to raise awarness of coc but cant find any music clips to let them hear and noone is gonna take advice from someone they dont konw where can i find some clips >>By Chino CoC is one of the greatest metal bands out there right now. If anyone knows who Down is...you should atleast know of Pepper Keenan, the brain of Corrosion of Conformity. I wouldn't entirely recomment every album...as I would to Opeth. But on Wiseblood, James Hetfield of Metallica makes an appearance on "Man or Ash" Almost every piece of CoC's work that I have heard, is as heavy as all hell. Albums I'd recommend are "deliverance" "wiseblood" and "america's volume dealer" HEAVY SHIT MAN >>By Markus COC have got to be the best metal band on the planet!!!!!!!!! The change from hardcore punk to more traditional metal has well as the many line-up changes have done them a huge favour musically and they well know it. I don't suppose many hardcore bands in the early to mid 80's would have thought for a second how COC would have turned out to the present day, and it's all down to guts I tell ya!!! And it's been deserved that trying to do their own thing and just being theirselves has given them a loyal and respective fanbase. I still remember going to see them at Dudley JB's in '94 on a warm up mini tour after the release of the 'Deliverance' album (their best album to date) and meeting Woody, MIke, Reed n' Pepper and just being so relaxed having a beer and a chat has though we had been mates for years. You don't meet many bands like that and it's no surprise why they have built a huge following worldwide. I say fair play and keep rockin' and come to England soon please it's been a while!! FAN now that i am old and trying to relive my youth through the joys of pirated music downloads, i am re-experiencing corrosion of conformity. i had the misfortune of seeing corrosion of metallica open for rollins band in lousy-ana several years ago, and prayed for their souls then, now with the reformed, corporate metal/rap cretins they have become i have acquired another album i can't even GIVE away. they did well to drop the name to "coc" since they are all about conforming now, and corrosion of talent seems to be the real problem. it saddens me deeply to hear this regurgitated everlast pap. if you want to hear CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, buy, borrow, or steal "EYE FOR AN EYE" "ANIMOSITY", and "TECHNOCRACY" >>By drinjanna let go of your past. "Zippo" and "Who's got the fire?" are grin-inducingly heavy party tracks. They have the music to match the Chilli Peppers hype, while the Chilli Peppers have the music to match CoC's hype (i.e. hardly any recognition at all - sometimes things just suck, y'know?). Now kicking out tunes that crossbreed the best of Metallica, Fu Manchu and the mighty Ten Benson.
