| Discussion: Choking Victim Pages: 1 2 I recently came across a website with pictures and info about Choking Victim...it really interested me and I decided to download a few of their songs. after a week or so i relised i almost downloaded the whole cd. I love the music! so i went out and bought No gods/no managers and it never leaves my cd player!>>By Valory i was downloading music form kazaa and i entered to a kazaa member files and i found choking victim songs and i download to listen the group, IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD, their music makes me go crazy >>By alonzo Hey i've been playing music in the scene "more the hardcore/emo type sorry to disapoint you all" for a long time now. i started by playing alot of ska. I've been listening to choking victim for years now. No matter how many converge albums i get and no matter how much saves the day i listen to, No Gods No Managers will aways be one of my favorite albums. >>By Sean at first, i had a bit of trouble getting used to their sound, but it's a style of skacore that grows onto you and just keeps on getting better over time. if any of you have heard some stuff by them and didn't like it, i suggest u take a few more listens. there a few more bands i found to have the same sound (although nowhere NEARLY as good as CV); Leftover Crack (ex-CV), INDK, and Morning Glory. if anyone else has any listening suggestions within the same style, i'd really like to know. >>By squatta Wow. Leftover crack is almost as good exept it doesent have that distinct choking victim beat because the drummer died. Check out against all authority. Oh and indk is good but not as good. I downloaded "crack rock steady" around that time, and then thought nothing of it until recently when making a hardcore punk cd for one of my girlfriend's preppy friends. What really pisses me off is that Hellcat records pulled that shit so they couldn't release their album, something about how their album name and/or pictures on it was too offensive. What the fuck.
