Chevelle are definitely one of my favorites. None of that dry pop "punk" crap -- they're real. I saw them at the Music Is A Weapon tour back in March in Boston and they were bitchin. Usually when a band comes out with more of a "main-stream" (for lack of a better word) album, it's not as great as old school material, but "Wonder What's Next" definitely proves that wrong. It's an excellent album, as is Point#1, so for those of you who don't have either I suggest you seriously consider it. Trust me, it won't be a waste of $$$.

Rock on

P.S. Could the teenies please stop posting stupid shit like "I love Chevelle, they're so hot!"....it's about the music, people! The music! 8-) Thank ya.

Is Chevelle like a Christian Rock band or something? Because it sure doesnt seem like it to me. I am not christian and i dont believe in Jesus Christ as our god but i love Chevelle and they rock. And all 3 of them are fucking georgous. My favorite songs by them are "Send the pain Below" And "One lonely Visitor".

Hey people I saw Chevelle in Metro London on 2nd of june and let me tell you THEY KICKED SOME SERIOUS BUTT. Chevelle gig was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. The guys were really telented and good in Atittude. They were just like three dudes came out from the dressing room played and rocked us out.

If Band is reading this message we are the 2 BIG ASIAN dudes with Beards and PJ shirts on right in front of PETE. By The Way I've Asked You For The MetallicA song ;-)

2 thumbs up for you guys CAN"T WAITE TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!

I saw Chevelle on 3/3/03 in Louisville, KY w/pulse ultra, 30 seconds to mars. It was the greatest day of my life, especially when Sam jumped up from the drums and did a stage dive right where I was standing, almost knocking me down. I got so many bruises from moshing at that show it was so fucking great. They are for sure the best band out there and the bass player kicks ass.

i really like chevelle i just heared of them last year when they came out with the song the red. i heared that song and i just had to go buy their cd. it really inspired me to write my own music. i think that my music is kind of lke chevelle's in a way not the singing part but just the words it sounds like something they would write. But if i had to pick my favorite song of theirs it would have to be send the pain below.....
i just can't wait to see wat they come out with nexed so i can fall in love with that cd too!!!!!!!

>>By melon head   (Saturday, 21 Jun 2003 14:59)

Chevelle is the best rock band on the planet and anyone that does not like chevelle can kiss my white ass !!! i think they are just bringing back memories into their songs.. so they can let their feelings out over the mic.. my biggest dream would have to be me marrying chevelle not just one of them but hte whole band

i am wearing chevelle underwear right now

>>By scooby doo lover   (Saturday, 21 Jun 2003 15:07)

one of the best groups ever my favorite song is the red

>>By thered   (Monday, 30 Jun 2003 08:38)

for those in question- chevelle IS a christian band. their first cd, point #1 is obviously christian. they're growing though, and even though they're not as preachy they still have stuck to their religious roots by avoiding putting anything "offensive" on their cds. listen through wonder what's next... you won't see anything unchristian. some people will disagree because of songs like send the pain below, but honestly, who can tell me that jesus didn't completely identify with those feelings as he was crucified... i'm not saying that it's the "right" way... but for those christians wanting to justify listening to "hard" music like chevelle, don't bother justifying it. there's nothing wrong with them, you don't need to find a loophole.

I heard Send the Pain Below on the radio in Vancouver, and I actually fell in love with the song. I didn't know anything about you before this, but seriously....my favourite band. Really - you guys have a gift. Your music is completely haunting, if that makes sense. Very artistic and well thought out, I can tell that you love the music that you make.
Anyways, I do have a point to writing all this. Not to be weird or anything, but Joe, I want to apologize for telling you that you sound like Tool. I felt so stupid after I said that. I mean, its a similar style obviously, but so many aspects of your music even surpasses them. I hope you realize that. I know you do. Grrreat bass.
...And great concert at the Commodore last night (Vancouver). etanton@hotmail.com

Since I first heard the sound of MIA from Chevelle's point #1 album, I counldn't stop listening to their music. I connected with their lyrics in a way that has not occurred with any other band. I always wondered about their lyrics regarding the question of whether or not they were in fact a "christian" band. For instance, "God spares a quality of himself" from MIA or "See how the sparrow gets fed from our Lord" from LONG.... it wasn't until I became curious enough to look up and read all of their lyrics from WONDER WHATS NEXT and POINT #1 to realize they were more than just an ordinary band. I read their lyrics over and over again... I could't believe that my favorite band's lyrics were filled with a Christian message.
myself being a christian, I honestly confess... I do not like a single "christian" band enough to call them my "favorite" and would have never expected to find one, such as CHEVELLE... I also realized that TETELESTIA comes from a greek word meaning "it is finished" which were the last words spoken by Christ. I don't know if that song was from an earlier cd of Chevelle's??? but anyway, I hope to take what I have learned from Chevelle and apply it to my own efforts in pursuing a music career as a drummer. I can now say that I am no longer afraid to write lyrics and worry about people thinking it's "lame"

Chevelle (pete, joe, and sam) are my favorite band! they rock!
I wish that I could maybe meet them someday. I hope they start doing gigs for Church Youth Groups again :)

i just heard Chevelle about 5 months ago and thought they rocked, what drew me to them besides the poetic lyrics and awesome guitars what the freakishness what i mean by this Joe i swear is the idenical twin of this guy that I am in love with lol but thier music is awesome and so deep they just might bring the substance of rock that drew me to it in the first place. ROCK on Chevelle ROCK ON

I really enjoy Chevelle as well. The riffs are very heavy, and the chemistry of the band over all cuts in one direction. I was very surprised to find out there are only 3 band members. I hope to see them live one day.

I wanted to ask you all out there your honest opinion of their live performances. Are they clean and loud, or just loud? How are the vocals with respect to the actual c-d?

Thanks,
Bernie

Chevelle is my favorite band and the red is definately not thier best song as stated by most of you. i like the depeche mode cover, it's not good. thats a bad ass song. from thier first cd i would have to say peer is the best and the second, dont fake this and forfeit are fucking awesome. i have one problem i have searched the internet for posters etc and can not find a single one. if anyone knows where to find posters of them on the net that would be awesome. also they are coming otu with a new cd this summer and touring it i suggest all of you go see it. all have fun now and go listen to some good rock music. lata
