Discussion: Califone

All the way back to Red Red Meat, this music had a place in my life. Since the first review I saw in Option Magazine so many years ago that claimed RRM could actually make their guitars bleed, I knew it had to invade my ears, my brain, my breath, my pain.

Califone came on me by surprise as I lamented the loss brought about by fierce expressions of creation. I wait for the next moaning lilt to escape the confines of TR's dry lips and slide down across the guitar strings onto the dusty dirty floor of the center of musical consequences delight.

Of coarse Califone, of course. Rough and certain, nothing wanting, after, before, between and beyond each moment of the invested active partaking of the life just there. Just there.
