saw them in south american in 1996...they were kickin' then, haven't heard anything new since the cd that 'ingrata' was on...they're pretty cool.

well when i think about cafe tacuba, i`m so proud because they are one of the bands that perfectly balance our traditional mexican folklore, and yet stay on tuch whit the evolution of music , and when ever you have chance to go see them do not think twice , i`ts a great experience, there are another bands that i will recomend you to listen, maldita vecindad, los fabulosos cadillacs, radio futura, rabanes, jarabe de palo, victimas del doctor cerebro (album name brujerias),and caifanes of curse for being one of the first latin american bands that help to create this evolution on rock in spanish, and ofcurse there is alot more good bands that i will never ended on named all of them but , ho, ho, i almost forgot , " MANU CHAU " YES HE CAN`T NOT BE OUT OF THIS LIST, well have to go and don`t forget the music is the only universal language that every one understand adios peace on earth.

Sincerely, Cafe Tacuba has been recognized for Re and Avalancha de Exitos and I believe that the little commercvial success of Yo Soy / Reves has made listeners underestimate the value of that two CD album. For me Cafe Tacuba went across the river. The finally reached the other side of the river, with a project not only ambitious in the very intellectual side but risky and worthwhile musically spoeaking. They managed to combine certainly some elements of the Mexican folklore with strong lyroics and the perfect usage of electronic and other more rustoic equipment (guitarrones etc) For me, the element present in each of the songs of Yo Soy Reves, including the instrumentals, is the circle: something leads to the other and it comes back after some period. Melancholy, hope, consciousness (or maybe all that unconsciousness) it awakes us. Each lyric, each melody ahs a purpose and that´s for me the biggest achievement of such album. Im looking forward to see them again live.

Well coming from Chicago's Punk scene looking for something that can bring me closer to my ethnic roots, I found Cafe Tacuba and Caifanes. The way Cafe can bring two sounds together into perfect harmony is incredible, never forgetting about the people always sending out messages reflecting the lives of Mexicans and Latinos throughtout the Americas. Cafe lo tiene todo, un sonido bien chido, los conciertos simpre son los mas chingones y la musica sigue su desarroyo. I always recomend Cafe Tacuba to anyone interested in "Spanish Rock" I can't wait for the return of Cafe here in CHICAGO.

I´ve been to a couple of cafetas concerts and they´re la neta. I can´t wait for them to concert at Mexico city´s Auditorio Nacional, a perfect place for a great band. If you ever hace the chance to go to a cafetas concert, go, you won´t regret it.

this is the best band i have ever heard! their tribute to los tres is amazing i purchased the album 5 months ago and cant stop listening to it and now they have released cuatro caminos it is over i will listen to no other busic but cafe tacvbas for the next year i saw them perform at the watcha tour in san jose 4 years ago and will see them at the hollywood bowl in september anxiously awaiting for the concert i am tired of all these pop artists coming into the industry and comforming to the b.s. they have us listening to their is no other band that compares to these guys for those who have trouble getting out of that bubble that corporate america has provided for you and your culture has been eradicated after such a long time listen to these guys and see how many things are still the same then you will realize your culture is your escape " vendo pescado frito con limon"

I just love them!!! They are so energetic full of live and emotions. There will be a concert soon in Celebrate Brookyn Aug. 9th 2003. That is a perfect opportunity to enjoy Cafe Tacvba one more time!!!

I've seen Cafe Tacuba twice now, a couple of years ago opening for Beck (great combination!) and then last year in Hollywood at the Palladium. I wanted to tell all you LA fans of the cafetas that besides the Hollywood Bowl gig, they are also going to be at Street Scene in San Diego, and if you've never gone to Street Scene, you should really check it out. Saw Molotov there a couple years ago.
And FYI I'm an over 50 yrs. old gabacha, but I love my Rock en Español, and Cafe Tacuba are one of the best bands I've ever seen/heard, in ANY language.

For all you Cafe fans out there in the Los Angeles area, they are playing Dec 2 and 3 at the House of Blues in hollywood, and also in Anaheim (location unknown to me).

I am definitely going to be there.
