Terrific series. The Brazilectro series has been a great resource for finding talented artists, good remixes and some rare club cuts with a European flare, and Brazilian touches. Always with double disc sets, the series released on SPV/Audiopharm seems to get better with each new edition. I cannot wait to hear the fifth installment and hope that it continues in the upward approach with quality.

The bad? It would seem that the series has gotten a bit more commercial, as there are loads of similar compilations on the market now. A dumbed down version of Arejar can be found on the Fourth edition - which doesn't give the ambiance of the song it's due justice. However to hear Janice and some of the others is well worth it as some cuts are out here well before the imitations. Enjoy!

I think that the Brazilectro series is fantastic. I have loved every release including the last one Brazilectro 5. The latest release seems to be a great mix of the legends of Brazilian music and has once again unearthed new Brazilian talent. The sounds from Marcos Valle and Paula Lima are great and I was really taken by the outstanding percussion and vocals on the track of Andrea Ciminelli "No Batida do Pandeiro". Her voice is fantastic and the percussion on this track was awesome. Thumbs up for this latest instalment of Brazilectro. Well done,

A must buy.
