I LOVE Boz Scaggs

>>By Rel   (Tuesday, 14 Jan 2003 00:23)

I love Boz Scaggs. I listen to him every morning when I get up, and go to
bed listening to him. His music makes me feel so good. He's the best. I live for the day I get to see him in person. If he would sing Georgia, I'll die. Long live the Boz.

my favorite albums are; Silk Degrees, Hits, Other Roads, Middle Man, come on home, and Some Change. I own all of these albums on CD and LP. They were all great albums, but his newest "Dig" album was a bit of a disapointment.

I recomend his "My Time: Anthology" album. It is a wonderful album of Boz Scaggs at his best.

Hi guys!

Great to see some Boz fans here!

Veteran artist Boz Scaggs tackles standards on "But Beautiful - Standards Volume 1," due May 6, 2003 via his own Gray Cat Records. Backed by a jazz quartet, Scaggs interprets such well-known selections as "Sophisticated Lady," "What's New," the title track, and "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered."

Thanks for providing the link, bozbabe (not sure who you are but...looks like you have some competition!) LOL

The new CD is fantastic. You're going to love it.

Cheers,
Jen

Hi Jen and Boz's babes!

You're right, the new CD is fantastic!! (And so is Boz!)
He's really knocking himself out this summer for the fans. I hope you'll all have a chance to catch his show. There are several Boz links picking up steam right now, including the new Boz site at www.bozscaggs.com and the yahoo site. Look for more to come!!! Angeleyes

THE site to visit is www.bozscaggs.com where updates are happening daily.

There's no trash-talking and a lot of fun.

Hi Angeleyes,

You're right, Boz is truly knocking himself out to make the fans happy this summer. Amazing tour! Boz tour in Japan is off to a great start. Monet and the band say, "everything has been going grrrreat!!! The shows have been more than stellar and Boz is sounding as smooth as silk!!!!"

Hope we'll get to hook up with ya at one of the fan gatherings this summer, Laura.

Best to all Boz fans,
Jen

(Please Ms. "Real Boz Babe", please don't disrepect fans here. We'd like to keep the conversation on Boz and his music, not your vengeful motives.)

But Beautiful finds Boz Scaggs singing jazz standards, backed by a polished quartet. Laid over the restrained melodies, Boz's voice caresses the listener in its soothing verse, delivered in a professional yet passionate manner.

With its beatnik-cool bass lines, cymbal taps, clear, lightly placed piano chords and Boz's soulful delivery, we are taken to a land so groovy that you can almost hear the fingers snap with the laid back beat in the dimly lit club, feeling aroused by the soft seduction of the melodies. But Beautiful is an exemplary triumph for Boz, proving himself a vocal master with few peers.

How do you see that as vengeful?

Great news! Angeleyes, did you see that Boz's new release, But Beautiful, debuted at #1 on the Billboard jazz chart? Too cool.

Still going strong in Japan. Could you imagine having to perform 2 shows, 5 days a week, for an entire month? Wow.

Can't wait until they get home to the states to perform for us.

Nice review slowdncr.

Cheers,
Jen

Is there anyone, anywhere who can put 'Slowly In The West' on a cassette tape or CD for me? ANYONE... ANYWHERE! One of the best songs Boz ever recorded, somehow got mysteriously deleted from the reissues of Boz Scaggs & Band... As a teenager I saw Boz with The Elvin Bishop Band amd It's A Beautiful Day at the Fillmore West many, many years ago. I'd like to be able to say 'what a show' but alas it was many, many years ago! ANYONE... ANYWHERE... I am of course more than willing to compensate whoever has this great song and would be willing to share it with me... write me at; pme092552@juno.com
Thanks... Paul

Hi,
I just wanted to say that I just had a Birthday in June. I turned 39 .
I have been listening to BozScaggs since I was 13 years old,
My first love turned me on to him. I love Boz just the same if not more now.
I would do anything now to meet him personally at this point.
I have seen him live once in the last 5 years.
The #1 song that is my favorite is Georgia.

Hi, I'm a new Boz fan, and I have absolutely fallen in love with "We're All Alone". I only heard it by chance last week when I was sick, and left the radio on over night, and someone has requested this song, and I have not been able to get it out of my head yet!

I'm about to purchase my first Boz album, but don't know whether to buy "Silk Degrees" or his "Hits" CD........

See ya,
Trish.
