Discussion: Björk

Pages: 1 2
I saw Björk at the Coachella music festival a few years ago. A song or two into her set there were some technical difficulties with the sound system. For several songs the band had to sit out while Björk sang accompanied only by her harpist. It was so beautiful-- a real treat.

<Sorry to all those who adore Bjork, I should be a fan, but it is hard to find her music within a group of friends who don't appreciate good music>

i have a thing for strong female voices, I think. Although Bjork, unlike the great voices --cesaria evora, astrud gilberto, nina simone, is always willing to try something new. And for that reason, I think she is a visionary and will always be on the top of my list.

I've always been aware of Bjork, but until the other Friday I hadn't actually heard her.
She was performing her latest song - can't think what it's called now - but I liked it. The one with the bells and the restrained rapper.

I Adore Björk...

mmmm, yeah, this girl brings back the essence of creativity and emotion into music. She managed to create a deep-going and sometimes ambient like atmosphere in her music. A very nice factor is that on every new release she tries something new. When you listen to her, you have to concentrate just on the music and don't do anything else, like reading.

Bjork is good. I love Human Behaviour, Hyperballad, and Human Behaviour (Underworld remix) - go figure!

I think that the dictionary should be set up something like this:

beau-ti-ful adj.
see unique

u-nique adj.
see Bjork

Hmmm... I've heard her "Oceania" and I love it... I think I might actually get the album Medulla...

>>By Grazyl

I haven't bought Medulla.
The songs that I've heard of it have not convinced me of getting it.

I have Debut, Post, Homogenic, and Vespertine. But Medulla just "didn't make it", I guess.

I still adore her...well, her music, I mean.

I like Bjork.

Well Tchock that's really no excuse. You like Radiohead.
