I am praying for you to recover. I have all your albums/CD's from the beginning. I also have the Love Unilimited Orchestra too. I won a Barry White trivia about two years ago, so you see I am a true fan. I have really enjoyed your music over the years and I am hoping for your speedy recovery so I can enjoy more. When Barry came to England to promote his comeback with "The right night" & "Sho you right", I travelled for four hours ON MY OWN to see him.
The warm up band were pretty good, so I stood up to dance (a little) & after each song I whistled & cheered (Obviously I was in a good mood)
Someone objected to my presence & called security.
After a quite word with them I agreed to remain seated & not to whistle.
But I told them that it will be very difficult for me to do so, when Barry comes on.
They told me I should of bought a seat nearer the back, I asked them if I could go back there, but they said no.
My mood had changed & I was beginning to feel upset. They wanted me to just sit there and listen to the best music ever made & just clap my hands after each song with the rest of the stiffs.
I turned to the person sitting next to me and told them what an impossible situation it was for me, when I got this tap on the shoulder.
This man started to tell me I had better do as they said or I would be booted out of the concert.
So I told him to piss off & mind his own buissnesss
BAD MOVE!
It was the MANAGER.
I left the hall with dignity but I refused to leave the building, there was no reasoning with them.
I pleaded with them to let me sit near the back so I could dance & when that failed I began to cry.
This was my only chance to see my hero play live & I had blown it.
Eventually the police arrived, to find me sitting in the entrance to the building with my legs wedged between the doors. I wasn't going anywhere!
Luckily for me they were the most reasonable policemen I had ever met!
THEY TOOK MY SIDE.
Why couldn't I go up the back & dance?
Walking back into the hall with The 40/50 strong Love Unlimited Orchestra ringing in my ears was one of the best moments of my life.
Barry & the boys gave us an impeccable performance that night.
Near the end, 30% of the people rushed to the front, to get a little closer to this man on stage who was making them feel so good.
Afterwards the manager made a bee-line for me & shook my hand.
"Did you enjoy it?" he asked.
"Yes... thankyou! How about you?"
"Brilliant" he said.

I pray for Barry 24/7, that God will lay is hands upon him and heal him, from head to toe! His songs give one a feeling of peace and joy, everytime one listens to his sexy, sensual voice!
Barry's singing voice has a way of making one feel good about loving someone, and also about being loved by your special someone!
His singing makes one believe in love because of his words, in every song he sings!

When he's well again, I would love to attend a concert in Madison Square Garden, NY!!!

I love soundtracks and the first time I heard the ET Theme from John Williams was a version from Barry White, it was a great arrangement.
I don't know if he did record a version of the King Kong Theme from John Barry ? my memory may be failing me ..
And what about another soundtrack cover versions ?
What do you think about Together Brothers ? Did he compose for other movies ?

With sadness I learnt today the news of Barry White's death. As I understand it he died of kidney failure. He also had a stroke at the beginning of May which left his speech disabled. He already had kidney problems for some time and had awaited a kidney transplant.
He will be missed not only by his family but also his fans world-wide, including myself.
My condolences go out to his family and all his fans.

OMG; i just found out; I heard he was ill at a Teena Marie concert where she asked us to pray for him 2 months ago; I have him on video so I will definitely have a celebration of his music this 4th of July weekend. He passed away at 930am this morning at Cedar Hospital
