>>By BrokenBrick   (Thursday, 3 Jul 2003 06:56)

Hmm.

I've just payed out 12 of my hard - earned english pounds, for grants graf.
Which incidentally happens to have three tracks on the cd, none of which are particularly long, and all of which happen to be a load of crap.

I wouldn't recommend.

That stinks Luna... Hope some freak wants to help you out of this industrial bleeps and blops... They did some nice stuff tough.. but I can never hear more then one song in a day...., maybe two..

I prefer being run over by Neurosis....

>>By Campking   (Saturday, 4 Oct 2003 22:25)

its pronounced awe-tek-er. u can download their stuff from p2p programs such as kazaa also from suprnova.org but in order to download from there u ahve to have bit torrent.

Meh, never done it for me. I've always been a fan of the Warp Records line up because they have such a consistently innovative sound. However, the other groups still manage to put some soul in their music, which I find Autechre completely devoid of. This is just blips and bleeps at its most basic, unlistenable, and boring. I suggest Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin and Squarepusher over this any day of the week.

>>By Kaeru   (Sunday, 18 Jul 2004 03:57)

Hey, if just a few beeps and bloops can take you on such a deep musical voyage, I think this kind of music might help us unlock the mysteries of the universe!!!
Know any other groups who sound like Autechre?, I'd love to hear about them . pappapigg@yahoo.com

>>By hellbent   (Saturday, 21 Aug 2004 10:37)

Boards of Canada are like the worst couple of geeks that Warp have signed! its them who are completely devoid of soul, theres just nothing to it, fucking hollow noise. Aphex and Suqarepusher are by far the best but hats off to Autechre cuz they know what the fuck they are doing. Check out stuff from Aphex's label Rephlex he has some pretty fucking sexy artists on there: Cylob, Global Goon, DMX Krew, Bochum Welt and Ovuca to name a few. Squarepusher started out on Rephlex too, if it hadnt been for Aphex stumbling across him one night in Finsbury Park then we might not even know him now.

also i think it might be oor-tek-rah or like the other dude said

"ooh thats a nasty sound"

>>By very cunty   (Saturday, 21 Aug 2004 16:01)

Autechre is just boring ambient noise. I'll admit Boards of Canada are poor, but I'd still rather listen to them than this rubbish.

andy, of andys records-aberystwyth is such a cunt. he wont let you listen to vinyl in his shop. i asked him what 'confield' was like an he said it was like a shit computer being thrown down the stairs! well, sound then, ill buy it. if he thinks its shit then it'll probably be good. and fair play its genious... sounds like a computer being chucked down some stairs, mind.
autechre (ooor-tekk-ree), fantasticly brave music. makes everything else in your box sound a bit safe and noisy. if there were more people making this kind of stuff it would begin to make more sense. you have to tune in to it, and when you do, it all begins to flow. totally listenable. just dont listen to anything else that day.
a bit like black dice but different...

Their video Basscadet freaks me out more than any other video I've ever seen.
Extremely creepy, which I like.

Mr Pumpie ,
if you don't have the balls to say something to a man's face, perhaps you should read the Discussion Guidelines you agreed to before leaving libelous remarks on a public forum.

>>By Andy Davis   (Thursday, 22 May 2008 13:56)

In a way i think Autechre are hopeless & too random yet in another, i admire for creating something different at least. Does anyone else feel themself to be 'divided' (over them) like this?
