Discussion: Aphex Twin Anyone knows what software afx uses? I know he refuses to talk about that in intreviews and stuff. but anyway. anyone?=? >>By kapax_liix I dont know excactly what software he uses but you'll get a long way using fruitloops (look at bogdan rackzynski, he uses it!) He claimes he adjusts his instruments to get an other sound out of it. (like a piano) But i dont think he does somethin special with it, he's more trying to be interresting. I like his music by the way, don't get me wrong. But i prefer BogdanRaczynski or VenetianSnares. You could also try to use ReNoise music software. I know he uses Emagic Logic Audio on an Apple Mac G4 Powerbook, and I think he uses Bias Peak to edit single sounds. Thatīs the easy part, the complex thing is the way he uses it, you know... You can achieve similar sounds via Vst plugins like ring modulators and using a lot of timestretching. Itīs simple, render your entire track as a stereo .wav and chop it on the secuencer, then apply different effects to the tiny pieces you made, reverse some sections, etc I tried to make you happy, kapax_liix Anyway, as he would say, do things the way you feel it. Only a wish, Danny Elfman, Trent Reznor and Richard D James doing a track together....
