I have been waiting a long time for someone like this....Managed to find a copy of The American at a music store today...got it used! Cant imagine why anyone would want to part with this CD. I know I never will. He blows Faith Hill right out of the water.

I got my American CD for Christmas of 2001. I have been listening to it with heart felt dedication ever since. Aparo's talented as a singer, songwriter and live performer. Both in the sense of being a perfect vocalist, entertainer, and all around generous person with his fans--and the fans are feircely loyal! I know The American is no longer in print, but the fact that a new CD is coming out with original material gives us hope (as fans of his work) that the new one will be the turn-around he's deserved for a very long time.

Saw angie several times in B-ham Alabama. Moved out to Los Angeles and am trying to find tour dates. I was glad to hear faith using his stuff. I guess spaceship isn't the only song to pay the rent(tee hee). My friends have a hard time finding the album but i have turned anyone you is around my cd player on to him. Nice to see other fans around!

A coworker of mine turned me on to Angie after a trip to Tennessee a couple years ago. I then heard a version of Rocketman by Sister Hazel on their web site where the lead singer (name eludes me) credits Angie for doing a great version as well and called him one of the best songwriters around. I immediately bought the CD after hearing that endorsement. It has not left my car since. I just wish he would come to New Jersey so that I could see him live. From track one to track 13...14...I mean 17...whatever..this is one of my favorite CDs. I was very glad to see Angie get the national exposure he did from Faith Hill's rendition of "Cry". I am just disappointed that she had to butcher my favorite song.
