Discussion: Allman Brothers Band

any one feel like chattin'

Does anybody know of some Allman Brother footage so that we may see Duane play

I'd like to know if anyone out there knows where to buy videos or, I'm dreaming here, DVD's of the original band, circa 1969--1971, with Duane. What an archive of videotapes and super 8's that must exist somewhere! Why doesn't Capricorn or Sony or Phil Walden or Gregg or whomever owns the rights to those performances search their vaults and give the fans, old and new, an onstage glimpse of Duane Allman--who remains the greatest electric slide guitar player that will ever be-- and this incredible band that gave so much energy in their live performances and played for such a short time. If not for the fans, then for the dollar signs you will see in your eyes.

Did Greg really shoot himself in the foot to get out of the Vietnam draft?

I have tickets to see the Allman Brothers Band in NYC on March 25, but I can't go. (I'm really upset, by the way.) If you want my 2 tickets, maybe we can arrange a deal or trade of some kind.

If you're interested, write to me: bramlet77@yahoo.com.

Thanks, and happy listening.
