Discussion: Alkaline Trio All I have to say is damn.. damn.. GREAT group.. Alk3 has one of those sounds that just makes you think.. "damn, why didn't I think of that?" Their lyrics are some of the best I've ever heard, they just relate to everyone and yet slap you in the face at the same time.. but a good slap.. like a "hey, I just got slapped by Alk3.. whoo hoo.." And the sound is sooo clean, and so smooth, and just digs it's way into you.. did I mention that they're great? Damn.. I'd sell my sould to Alkaline Trio.. (Or would I...?) >>By psxpunk this is one great band. im amazed how that make up all the stuff that they do. i would have to agree when you listen to them and think(damm why didnt i think of that) all their cds are great axpecially self titled. every song i like that they wrote. great band great band. >>By bob strycker I think in the world of industrial music, a band like alk3 is needed. There was a havy depression in the stlye for the longest of time. Though they have been areound for quite some time, they have only touched the underground scene, I know they are getting a little higher on the laddre everyday but they are yet to be on the top ten list. >>By the priest they called him Wow what a great band, definently my favorite punk band of all time and mabey even my favorite band. Thier lyrics are amazing, it always makes me thing, "Damb i wish i thought of that." It just confuses me in why thier not as popular as they should be. Especially with all of the crap out these days. Alk3 rocks my socks, the only question I have is...why is everyone repeating the "damn i wish i had thougt of that" quote? I got into them bout 2 yrs ago ....ever since than I hav been fucking hooked to them like a fish to it's bait. I am more than happy to say Alk3 has inspired me in every way from my own writing to starting my own band. They jus simply kick so much fucking ass it's not even possible to put into words how great they are!!! I love there writing style the most and the way they play there instruments is bad ass!! I saw them only once however )8 But that's okay cuz i'm looking forward to there new cd and when they come back to tour u can bet ur ass I'll be the 1st one to buy a ticket to the show!!! The lyrics are so passionate and so well thought out that I stopped to think about myself and the way I am. I found myself listening to their albums everyday and this helped me get through tough times that I have been through. The morbidity is just perfect, the harmonies are unique and angelic, the instrumental ability is outstanding, and their live shows are unpresidented. My favorite band for now and forever. The lyrics are so fathomable yet subliminal, and you can't help but love the way that simple things that could just be said, are put down with a twist that makes you actually want to think about it. A hint of morbidity, without monotonously sounding scary, mixed with a perky, upbeat sound... who can't love them? Who couldn't get enough of them? I certainly can't wait to hear more. You guys are the sickest band ever .. best underground punk album ive ever heard of and will ever hear of.. you guys deserve more fame then anybody.. and i love how u guys have your own sound .. like no one elses..you guys rock!!!!1 >>By matt las vegas About two or three years ago if you would have asked me, "hey bobby, do u know who alkaline trio is" i would have said no. but about 1 year ago i got the atticus cd and it had Jaked on Green Beers. i listened to the song over and over again until my bro went insane. the drumming, the bass playing, and the guitar, not to mention the singing, is fucking GREAT!! alkaline trio is by far one of the best bands around. with their original beats and song writing. they stand out from the other bands, they arent sugar coated about anything, they tell what they think, and they dont give a shit!
