Discussion: Ahmad Jamal Amazingly prolific jazz piano formats to be discovered in Ahmad Jamal's library. Saw AJ Trio live five or six years ago in SLC, Utah. I was a bass player for the jazz band at my school at the time, and seeing this performance provided what felt like infinite inspiration to me for the next few years. But what hit me the hardest at the time was his accompaniment, bassist James Cammack and drummer Idris Muhammad.
