Abba

Forum

ABBA are witches that sold their souls to the devil for ten years of fantastic success. Their evil songs contain many backwards messages. They are leading people to Satan.

I wish I could find an interesting woman floating somewhere in cyberspace - just an intelligent person to exchange the occasional thrilling little morsel of email. Someone who's up for a little linguistic flirting to make my boring job go by a bit quicker.

anyone? I'm a handsome Aquarius with a knack for good prose.

ABBA is the most wonderful group in all the world. I like it very much. I know all ABBA's songs and like to sing them. The most beautiful people in this group is AGNETHA FALTSKOG. Frida is very cute, but not so wonderful like Agnetha. About Bjorn and Benny I can't say nothing. They are only men. I WAN'T TO KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT ABBA'S FILM. I KNOW THAT WHEN ABBA WAS ON ''WAVE'' THEY SPEND THEIR OWN FILM ABOUT THE TOUR IN AUSTRALIA, WHICH WAS VERY POPULAR AND LOTS OF PEOPLE SAW IT. I WANT TO SEE IT TOO. I ALSO WAN'T TO BUY THIS FILM. CAN YOU HELP ME?PLEASE, I AM WAITING YOUR HELP AND ANSWER.

Clarenex, how could you say ABBA has evil songs with backwards messages? Can you give any proof? And which songs? I wanna know because I think their melodies are magnificent, but I am also a strong believer and it hurts so much to hear these bad things about my all time favourite group. It really HURTS!!!!! I don't know how my life would be without ABBA, but then again Jesus is my number one hero!!!!

To Clarenex, I've done some research about the so called backward-messaging of ABBA, and as my point of view they are all based upon lies. It is very dangerous to state that the ABBA members are witches, because of the damage that can do to millons of people that like ABBA.

Clarenex... well said and I know your statement to be true. I have a friend who has some great recording equipment who played me Mama Mia backwards. To say I was shocked is an understatement!

You'd think that by now there would be a way to stop filth like that getting out into the public domain.

Same with S Club's 'Don't Stop Movin'.....

>>By Paully P   (Wednesday, 6 Aug 2003 14:30)

To Paully P and Clarenex, what exactly do you hear? I've been turning Mamma Mia backwards and sorry to say I heard nothing that could be shocking it was al abracadabra to me. So either you have an enormous fantasy or you are just out to shock people and put ABBA in discredit....

By the way, if you ask me you can pick any song in English, when you hear it backwards you willl hear hidden messages. So please stop this nonsense and witchhunt. In this case ABBA is not evil, the English language is evil. If ABBA would have sung in Swedish or German you would'nt pinn them down on backwardmessaging. So what about filth? Pointing fingers is what is the real filth!!!

I'm from Sweden and I think it's stupid to say things like "ABBA are witches and devils". I want to know the same thing as nick, what excactly do you hear when you reverse the song, was it mama mia? And like, when they sing in swedish.. Do you think it's hidden messages in that to? Like when they're writing texts they think "oh.. how can we write this to get a hidden devil message through"?? It's VERY silly!

Waterloo du är mitt öde min waterloo.

In swedish :) and sorry.. there're no hidden message..

Abba has made the only music that I listen too every day and every talk about devillish messages is the most crazy nonsense I have ever heared

>>By wontolla   (Sunday, 23 May 2004 10:45)

god you guys are taking claranex way too seriously. It would be extremely interesting if the members of the FORMER band ABBA were witches, but I have to say, I think that is merely fabricated. Sad, but true. i like listening to ABBA at top volumn while on my way to Cape Cod and going over that very thin expanse of a bridge that links the mainland to the cape. Those Cape Coders actually think that is a perfectly normal route to go over to one of the most populated ocean resorts during peak season!!! .....Then again, I also enjoy listening to Einsturzende Neubauten going over that bridge.

I love ABBA, I met both of ABBA men and they didn't ask me to ...sign anything :)
I also love Laurie Anderson, Marianne Faithfull (well...) Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello, Kate Bush (well...), Philip Glass, Tina Turner, Annie Lennox and many more... whoever they are

>>By duve   (Friday, 11 Jun 2004 15:38)

About bacwards messages I don't know....
But ABBA is a palindrome that's for sure!
Does this make the four (ex) members witches? I'd like to think of their music as pure magic.

What big bullshit-discussion this is. I'm very very fond of ABBA. To me ABBA is a gift of hope, a tiny little but very presentive light in times of darkness. Wanna know 'bout the bullshit
on this page ? That's ús responding to someone like clarenex who probably was just joking around a bit ! Don't be naïve ! This is an ABBA-site ! So let's talk about the wonderful things
they have done !
A band that existed for only five or six years and still being tremendously popular, even now,
thirty years later, cannot be a band selling cheap music. They really have proved with evidence how to make wonderful music without the longing for fame or money. They created by being so very much themselves. And thát's what made their music so very strong. The songs are about life, about the struggle the hope and love life can bring, about being human. With ABBA there's no need to walk backward.

Oh god it scares me, ask me and I'll tell you what a bunch of cheesey crap it is, but put it on in the background and pretty soon Im tapping my foot and singing along! How can something be this shit and good at the same time?

>>By monkeyfeet   (Tuesday, 14 Dec 2004 14:59)

I don't care what anyone says - Abba are definately in the top 10 - not the top 100, OR the top 50 - the top 10 of the artists of the 20th Century. Regardless of all the haters who have no concept of taste outside their pathetic little existence, this music is timeless and will be played long after your gravestones have been erected.

And for the record, I'm not a fan of Abba - I mostly listen to grunge and metal. I just believe in giving credit where it's due.

ABBA's songs were the first my toddlers ears have heard when I was still in diapers. After 28 years, they give me emotions that no other songs have done before, it's simply a timeless emotion.

"Dancing Queen", "Knowing me knowing you", "I Have A Dream (I Believe In Angels)", "Lay All Your Love On Me", "Chiquitita", "One Of Us", "The Name Of The Game" are masterpieces. Period!

To those numbskulls (whom strangely enough can't see their Flork infos; all the better!) who hafta fill up sites with their gobbledygook, stating sensless necromancy in ABBA's songs, just a little thought:
Why not go screw yourselves?
