With this in mind, the only other group that could possibly come close would be EPMD, but thats another story. In ones opinion, these two lyricist were put together for a reason and when separated it's like Kool-Aid without the sugar. There solo albums speak for thereselves one more commercial than the other, but true Hip Hop fans understand what was meant by the prior comment. In todays realm of rap music there lacks the key element that Tribe possessed among other things the most important is CREATIVITY and SKILL!!! These cats nowadays sign family and friends just to say I'm keeping it real, but what your really doing is F$ck*ng up the industry. I'm tired so my people 1 LUV and Tip & Phife we need you. They are true Hip-Hop....not this Rap s#!t pollutin the airwaves nowadays! Today's artists are too much about money, cars, crime, and gangsta livin'. Tribe and a few others (like Common, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, The Last Emporer, etc....) are true poets, true masters of the spoken word, they spit lyrics and metaphors like noone else. They hold the ability to entertain, expand the mind and explore the world all through thier lyrics. There will never be another group like Tribe...no matter how hard anyone tries, they are (in my opinion) the Gods of the Mt. Olympus of the Hip-Hop world. We need more intellectuals like the Tribe, I'd love to see them drop just one more album...BRING BACK THE TRIBE JUST ONE MORE TIME!!! Blackdust!! All there songs have been thought through well and timed to perfection. Ther couldnt be a rap/hip-hop band more clever, witty and talented than A Tribe Called Quest.
