they are amazing, I've liked them for 3 or 4 years and can still listen to their music without getting sick of it. It's a shame they only did one album..but we still have Tool

>>By RUFFO   (Thursday, 24 Apr 2003 18:53)

a perfect circle have realy changed the way i look at music, and to be quite honest much of the bands that i used to love, eg. soundgarden, muse and other such acts, have now taken up a place in my mind under very average music. Shierly because of the brilliance that apc's music reeks of. I think it is a sin that as yet since mer de noms they havent relesed a new album, could any one enlighten me as to when another album will be released to bring a bit of sinshine back into our days?

>>By JEORDIE WHITE   (Friday, 2 May 2003 22:48)

>>By Ilse   (Friday, 9 May 2003 20:16)

I love the way that they combine classical string instruments with electric. Hey, anyone heard anything about a new album?? i heard it was supposed to be out September/November 2002...but haven't heard / seen anything since :(

>>By (%) Phined (%)   (Thursday, 19 Jun 2003 14:35)

I heard that they were supposedly releasing an album late 2003, but no specific dates

>>By ShadowDrop   (Saturday, 28 Jun 2003 06:34)

I want them to put out a new album really bad i mean their first one is just simply great its the best music i have ever heard but i want more i sort of crave it well thats my thoughts from Daryn

>>By Meditated one   (Sunday, 29 Jun 2003 20:35)

Es espectacular para mi como Argentino que en una banda que hace musica tan profunda y hermosa, y que es mi favorita, toque una Argentinas como Paz
Espero ansioso el proximo album.

>>By Spantis   (Monday, 30 Jun 2003 19:48)

Their sophomore cd is supposed to come out in September 2003. I believe that date changed from September 30 to the 19th. I know it's somewhere around there. I can't wait myself. All the members of APC couldn't be more perfect. To bad Paz is leaving, but I wish her the best with Zwan. I'm sure Twiggy will be amazing! One more thing.... MJK, there's still a place in my heart just waiting for you.

I LOVE A Perfect Circle...just in love with them. anyone know anything about the new album or where i could download the new songs?!

>>By brittny784   (Sunday, 13 Jul 2003 18:38)

To llse, Paz is definately not one of the best bassists in history. I mean, she gets the job done, and she even has a pretty voice, but her main job is to stand there and look nice. Why do you think Corgan hired her......

Re: your seemingly ignorant 2 word summation of APC's music

I am sorry, but to describe APC as "Tool Lite" is a gross & appalling insult
to the the incredible musicianship & sheer genius that is Mer De Noms. I
might apoligize for the coarse tone of this message, but you have defamed,
dare I say defecated upon, the truly historic & artistic work of five modern
marvels of music. Therefore, thou art deserving of such a ribbing. But fear
not, you may redeem yourself and repent by forevermore... describing APC
in a manner befitting their talent and musical prowess. Go forth, spread the
enlightenment found in the sounds of APC, and you shall be forgiven.
Peace

Yea I'm not really sure where Tool light comes from. They are heavy just in a different way. I remember when they first came out people were calling them a tool wannabe band or something like that. Nothing could be further from the truth. Maynards singing in APC is very different from his work with tool. It has to be one of the most beautiful vocal performances I've ever heard. Peace.

So whose better Tool or perfect circle?

James iha looks fat now haha

>>By anon101   (Sunday, 2 Nov 2003 08:31)

actually, billy howerdel wrote all of the music for Mer de nomes, so tool wannabe my ass. Think about it, Billy used to be a guitar tech nor NIne inch nails, but does anybody ever try and say that afc is a NIN wannabe? NO because their dumbasses. Plus, maynard's mesages in APC are much less concrete and angry than APC and he sings more melodicly as well. So fuck off you fucking fuckers.

i went to an A perfect Circle concert last nite in CT and they fucking rocked

>>By Invisible2EveryoneButMe   (Thursday, 27 Nov 2003 05:02)

Has anyone listened to APC's latest cd? It had to grow on me, which I didn't like very much because their first cd kissed ass. Their second cd was a little soft which I found less than my standard but they still kick ass.

i love em'...theres no other way of puting it...im absolutely in lvoe with em'....

Awsome band but Tool are....darker, i think. Can't find that "black touch" in APC.

What do you think ?

Cheers,

Madrugada.

>>By Madrugada   (Thursday, 22 Jan 2004 13:05)

this is real music
mer de noms is a sublime masterpiece. It evokes the subconscious through the gripping vocals of maynard james keenan.
they are gods!!!

>>By melancholia   (Tuesday, 16 Mar 2004 11:42)

perfect is perfect....what can you do...

>>By HY -   (Monday, 22 Mar 2004 00:27)

I saw them live twice now, great band but certainly had to grow live. The first time, right after Mer de Nomes I think they didn't have the budget to do what they wanted to do, what ended up in a bad show, the sound of the dj after the band was louder and more balanced. But the last time I saw them, about 2 months ago, they convinced me again. The sound was good, the lights in comparison to the other show (that was boring) was quite good, and they were busy entertaining. The played almost their whole discografie, with enrthousiasm, not like you were hearing it in record, the songs really had more power live this time.. Everything it lacked the first time it now had. Even humor. The whole show there were comments of BA Baracus in between the songs, played from a sampler. Maynard even had a small conversation with him after introducing him as the backstage member of the band. It was a great show in a great ambinece. so when you get the chance to see them live don't hesitate. I have seen better shows, but not many.

>>By Campking   (Monday, 22 Mar 2004 11:18)

I just recently got into them. Now, I just have to get around to buying their albums.

I think that an album is good when it has to grow on you, rather than when it just clicks. It usually makes for a much deeper album anyway, that's what I've found.

I admit, I heard about APC through hearing about Tool, but I understand they are two very seperate bands. I wouldn't call it a light version of Tool. The music may be similar in ways, but that's the way with most music these days, and the fact that I'm still hearing Maynard's voice. But two very seperate bands. A much different atmosphere when I listen to them.

I think that Tool are probably darker, as you say. I don't know, there isn't really a dark and a light, it's still just as emotional, just not as heavy I think.

i saw apc in feburary and i am now in complete and total love. being 2 metres away from Jeordie can really do things to you!! hehehe

>>By miss_twigglet   (Friday, 16 Apr 2004 07:06)

This band is amazing, their live show rocks(pity about maynards not coming towards the front of the stage) but I was so close to Jeordie, man and the fairy dance, so funny, Their albums are amazing and Pet and Magdelana are fucking awesome, oh has anyone seen the clip for the outsider?? random

>>By vlad_dracula   (Monday, 26 Apr 2004 12:00)

I have seen the Outsider videoclip. Quite a strange piece, actually... don't like it at all. I love Tool's videos though.
